Our Name
Ferdinand Magellan was the inspiration for our name Magellan Law. Ferdinand Magellan was an accomplished Portuguese-Spanish explorer. His 1519–1522 expedition was the first to sail from the Atlantic Ocean into the Pacific Ocean, the first to cross the Pacific, and it completed the first circumnavigation of the globe. Magellan’s reputation as an explorer and innovative navigator inspired the name of the Magellan probe, which mapped the planet Venus for four years.
As a navigator, Magellan was a person who plotted, ascertained and directed the course of his ship. At Magellan Law, we do the same for our clients. We believe the name reflects the way we practice law and symbolizes our commitment to helping clients chart a course to find their ideal legal solutions.
